BMF Belegcheck 4.0.4

The BMF App is designed for businesses subject to the cash register obligation according to §131b BAO, for the verification of initial and annual receipts from cash registers.

Note: The BMF Receipt Check App cannot be used by individuals to verify a receipt!

Developed by the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF), this app allows for the verification of initial and annual receipts from cash registers equipped with a security device (§§6 Abs. 4 and 8 Abs. 3 RKSV).

It provides the following features for capturing the legally required machine-readable code on cash register receipts:

• SCAN RECEIPT: Scan a QR code and transmit it to the BMF verification service.
• ENTER LINK/CODE: If a link is provided on the receipt instead of a QR code, it can be entered here. The machine-readable code embedded in the link will then be transmitted to the BMF verification service. If a machine-readable code is printed on the receipt instead of a QR code or link, it can be entered here and subsequently transmitted to the BMF verification service.
• OFFLINE RECEIPTS: If transmitting the machine-readable code to the BMF verification service is not possible, it is cached in the app. This feature allows for rechecking or deleting each individual receipt.
• VERIFIED RECEIPTS: All receipts transmitted to the BMF verification service are stored in the app with their corresponding verification results.

An authentication code is required for verifying receipts. This code will be provided after successfully registering your cash register and signature/seal creation unit via FinanzOnline.

The verification service receiving the machine-readable code compares the data in the machine-readable code with that registered via FinanzOnline (§16 RKSV).

The verification result is promptly displayed on the device being used.
